My current life involves leveraging the simple but elegant mobile technology of SMS in international development projects worldwide.
My past life involved figuring out how to support and and sustain literacy in places where there were no books. Sometimes this involved a bookmobile. Sometimes, this involved taking pictures of how little written things there were in rural Moroccan villages - nary a street sign in sight, let alone a newspaper, magazine or book.
Thus, this article really blew my hair back. Dying to get something like this rolling in the Arab world. Would love that.
