Ten out of twelve months a year, living in the Middle East is either hot or too hot. Two out of twelve months a year, it's flipping freezing. Since houses here are made to cater to the majority, like so many things, for those two months it's often even colder inside than outside, as the cold stone and sometimes open roofs are meant to keep cool in.That's when you bring out the fireplace. This baby is horribly unsafe, possibly fatal, and entirely indispensable.
Fireplace, I love you. Even if you may kill me.
